Janine Lindemulder

Lindemulder made her adult film debut in the 1992 feature Andrew Blake's Hidden Obsessions. She was featured in two more adult movies before joining Vivid Video as an exclusive "contract girl" (who are collectively referred to as the Vivid Girls). Under the terms of her original Vivid contract, Lindemulder only performed sex scenes with other women. Her first Vivid release was titled Parlor Games, and she would go on to be featured in over fifty other titles for the company.

During her initial tenure with Vivid, Lindemulder continued to branch out into other forms of entertainment. She formed half of the exotic dancing duo Blondage, along with fellow adult film performer Julia Ann; the duo even headlined several videos for Vivid.

In 1997, she received a part in the Howard Stern film Private Parts, as the wife of a camp director. She also appeared on Stern's television and radio shows as a featured guest. Lindemulder was the cover model for Blink-182's album Enema of the State, and appeared in their video for the song "What's My Age Again?" as a nurse. She also appeared in several other music videos.

In 1999, Lindemulder announced that she was leaving the adult film industry to pursue a career as a kindergarten teacher. She added that another reason she was retiring was to focus more on raising her child. Her retirement lasted until April 2004, when she announced that she would be making a comeback – now, performing with men and women. She signed with her former company, Vivid Video, and starred in eight new films. Her first film scene with a male was with Nick Manning in Maneater. After her comeback deal with Vivid expired, Lindemulder signed with Vivid rival Digital Playground and starred in a handful of features for them, including Pirates in 2005.

In January 2006 she won two AVN Awards. Her April 2007 film Janine Loves Jenna co-stars Jenna Jameson.

Ann was born and raised in Easton, Pennsylvania. She entered the adult film industry in 1994. Her first scene was in Cinesex 2. During the first two years of her adult film career, she was under contract with Metro/Cal Vista and shot only once a month. She quit porn in 1997 due to an AIDS scare in the industry and spent the following seven years stripping. She also owned a day spa for four years during her hiatus from porn. She decided to resume performing in February 2006 after being asked to do a boy/girl photoshoot for Suze Randall. The first scene she shot after returning to the industry was with Christian XXX in Bra Bustin' and Deep Thrustin'. In addition to her work as a performer, she also has credits as a director, producer, and for makeup.

In 2008, Ann starred as "Serra Paylin," a parody of Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin, in Hustler Video's Who's Nailin' Paylin? which was released on Election Day. Hustler contacted Ann to offer her the part on the day of the vice presidential debate, which she viewed to learn Palin's mannerisms in preparation for the role. She also prepared for the role by studying Tina Fey's impressions of Palin. She portrayed Palin again for the sequels Obama Is Nailin' PalinLetterman's Nailin' PalinYou're Nailin' PalinHollywood's Nailin' Palin, and Who's Nailin' Palin? 2. Hustler also produced a mask in the likeness of Ann portraying Palin for Halloween in 2009. Ann reprised her role as Palin in the music video for the song "We Made You" by Eminem. She has also performed as Palin at strip clubs. These appearances revived her on-screen career.

In 2013, Ann hosted a show titled Stripper Town on Sirius XM. She currently co-hosts Lisa Ann Does Fantasy, alongside Adam Ronis, on Monday nights and The Morning Men on Thursday mornings, both on Sirius XM Radio. In December 2014, she stated that she is pursuing a career in fantasy football. By January 2016, she was slowly getting involved with fantasy baseball as well.

On December 15, 2015, Ann released a memoir titled The Life.

Tabitha Stevens

Stevens joined the adult-entertainment industry in the summer of 1995 at the age of 25 after meeting erotic performer Racquel Darrian and Darrian's then-husband Derrick Lane at a gym. She was married at the time but divorced her husband soon after entering the industry. Her first scene was with Bobby Vitale in Rolling Thunder for Vivid Entertainment. She took a seven-year hiatus from performing before returning to the business in 2009.

In 2007, she was inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame.

Stevens has appeared on The Howard Stern Show over 25 times and has made appearances in five seasons of Dr. 90210. She has also appeared in various roles in other television series. Stevens holds a SAG card and has also done commercial work for CAPCOM's Street Fighter as well as a number of SEGA TV-commercials.

Ginger Lynn

Over her four-decade career, Allen's credits include a variety of roles and jobs. These include actress/performer, director, writer, producer, and assistant director.

Born in Rockford, Illinois, Ginger Lynn Allen moved to California in 1982 after hearing about her grandfather's heart attack. Following her grandfather's death, a male friend came to live with her and became her "first nice boyfriend". Allen was the major financial supporter in the relationship and needed to find a higher-paying job.  When she answered an advertisement from the World Modeling Agency in September 1983, she was immediately hired and did a pictorial for Penthouse, which brought her to the attention of the adult film industry.

Allen began as a nude model and then began performing in hardcore sex films as Ginger Lynn by December 1983. Her first pornographic video role was in Surrender in Paradise, in which she starred with Jerry Butler. Allen's "girl next door" good looks led to a quick rise in her popularity and eventually she became one of the most popular female performers in adult-entertainment history. She had her own line of videos through Vivid Entertainment with director Bruce Seven. Allen received the Best New Starlet award in 1985 and is an inductee to the X-Rated Critics Organization (XRCO) and Adult Video News (AVN) halls of fame. Allen signed a contract with Vivid Entertainment founder, Steven Hirsch, making her the first 'Vivid Girl' and beating out the then-underaged Traci Lords She was later called to testify on Lords' behalf against porn producers; she refused, and according to her, was then targeted by the Internal Revenue Service for falsification of a tax return.

In February 1986, Allen decided to stop making adult videos and establish a career in mainstream films using her full name. She appeared in several non-adult films, television shows and even interactive movie segments of the Wing Commander computer games. She started her career in mainstream features with a small part in the western Young Guns II, which co-starred her future boyfriend Charlie Sheen's brother, Emilio Estevez.

Allen returned to the adult-entertainment industry in 1999 for three movies: Torn (1999), White Lightning (2000), and New Wave Hookers 6 (2000). In March 2006, she became a host of Playboy Radio's Sirius Satellite Radio show, Night Calls Radio, with former adult film actress Christy Canyon. In June 2007, Allen performed for two of Kink.com's hardcore websites, Ultimate Surrender and Sex and Submission. In 2008, Allen appeared in the films Dirty Rotten Mother Fuckers with James Deen (24 years younger than her) and Seasoned Players 4 with Tom Byron, then performed in more than a dozen hardcore releases in each of the next two years.

Brittany Andrews

Andrews worked in a Milwaukee beauty supply company before starting her career as an exotic dancer. After doing photo shoots for men's magazines, she began her career in adult films after meeting Jenna Jameson in 1995, during a photo shoot for Hustler magazine in Jamaica.

In February 2008, Andrews retired from porn, and held a Presidents Day party announcing that she was moving to New York to attend film school at the New York Film Academy. However, in 2010 Andrews returned to the business to star in the adult film Sex and the City: A XXX Parody.

In addition to her adult film work she hosts several cable TV shows, including Playboy TV and Talking Blue, which she co-produces. At her self-owned Britco Pictures studio, Andrews starred in, directed and produced pornographic movies such as the strap-on movie Brittany's Bitch Boys, and Lesbians in Lust.

Andrews has started her own mainstream film production company Discipline Filmworks. In 2010, she produced and appeared in the short film Crumble. The film had its world premiere at the 2010 New York International Independent Film and Video Festival, where it won a number of awards including Audience Award for Short Film, Best Actor in a Short Film (for Steven Bauer) and Best Actress in a Short Film (Oksana Lada). She has also acted as executive producer for the film Trick of the Witch.

Chasey Lain

Lain acted in her first adult film in 1991, titled Wild at Heart (not to be confused with the 1990 film of the same name). In 1993, Lain did her first hardcore film, The Original Wicked Woman, for Wicked Pictures, which became famous as the first adult video to document a breast enhancement, before and after. In 1994, she became a contract actress for Vivid Entertainment, where she gained her major success with titles like Chasey Loves Rocco and Chasey Saves the World. In 1997, she appeared in Orgazmo, a non-pornographic mainstream movie directed by Trey Parker.

Darren James

In an attempt to prevent a possible outbreak, an urgent search was initiated for potentially infected performers. The search and subsequent testing were conducted by the Adult Industry Medical Health Care Foundation, where James had received his diagnosis. It was concluded that James had possibly been infected while engaging in unprotected anal sex with Brazilian actress Bianca Biaggi during a scene for the video Split That Booty 2 in Rio de Janeiro.

It was discovered that three actresses who had worked with James shortly after his return to the United States had also become infected. These were Canadian newcomer Lara Roxx, Mareisa Arroyo and Czech-born Jessica Dee. Roxx had entered the adult industry only two months before contracting the virus. On learning about the HIV outbreak, she has said, "It totally made me realize how I trusted this system that wasn't to be trusted at all, because it obviously doesn't work," and "I thought porn people were the cleanest people in the world."

Judy Star appeared in several movies where Roxx was also in the cast, and was known to have performed a sex scene with a female actress who had performed a scene with James. Star, however, tested negative for HIV. The ensuing fears of HIV infection (as well as the public scandal and criticism of the industry that followed the outbreak) caused a temporary shutdown of production of adult movies in Southern California.

According to James, his diagnosis and the public disclosure thereof — which was how his family learned of his pornographic career — left him so distraught that he attempted suicide. After his recovery, he sued the Adult Industry Medical Health Care Foundation for publicly disclosing his condition. The lawsuit was settled out of court, with terms remaining confidential. James went on to find employment as a security guard. In 2005, the porn industry shutdown was the subject of the first episode of The Dark Side of Porn, a British documentary series produced for Channel 4.

Darren James has remained very vocal about the incident and about adult filmmakers continuing their habits "as usual". He is a staunch advocate of mandatory use of condoms on porn sets to protect performers from HIV. Canadian documentary filmmaker Mia Donovan made a 2011 documentary film Inside Lara Roxx, a result of following her life for 5 years with candid interviews and documentation, in addition to showing footage from Darren James in the documentary.

Georgina Spelvin

Graham moved into porn when her friend, actor Harry Reems, introduced her to adult film director Gerard Damiano. The stage name she adopted is a variation on George Spelvin, a name traditionally used as a pseudonym by stage actors.

Though Spelvin is known to have appeared in a few sexploitation features during the late 1960s, she became one of the best-known figures in hardcore pornography for her starring role in The Devil in Miss Jones in 1973. Spelvin went on to appear in over 70 adult films before retiring from the industry in 1982.

In 1974, she was charged with transporting obscene materials across state lines for her film Devil in Miss Jones in Tennessee. The charges were eventually dropped in 1977.

In addition, she appeared in the low-budget exploitation film Girls For Rent (aka I Spit on Your Corpse), for which she also served as costume designer. Spelvin made cameo appearances in the straight mainstream films Police Academy and Police Academy 3: Back in Training.

She later had straight film roles in Bad Blood, in which she was credited as "Ruth Raymond," and Next Year in Jerusalem as well as guest-starring roles on the television shows Dream on and The Lost World. In 1973, Robert Berkvist, writing in The New York Times, commented that "Miss Jones' is as familiar in the respectable and well-to-do New York suburb of Scarsdale as she is on Broadway."
